JOHN NICHOLLS
President
John S. Nicholls is President of Nicholls Auction Marketing Group, Inc., and oversees all day to day operations of the company. As a second generation auctioneer, licensed in 10 states and the District of Columbia, John earned a BA in Psychology and a MS in Personnel Services. In 1990, John graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa. John currently conducts over 300 auctions per year for Fortune 500 companies and is a licensed realtor.
John is an active member of the National Auctioneers Association, currently serving a 3 year term on the Board of Directors, and the Virginia Auctioneers Association where he has served as President, on the Board of Directors and numerous committees. He also serves as a featured instructor at the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA, and has instructed at Reppert's School of Auctioneering in Auburn, IN, as well as a featured speaker at many state associations throughout the country. John has had the honor to represent the auction profession on the TODAY Show, the National Association of Realtors Convention, St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, many state associations, multiple news publications, and on a real estate auction consulting trip to South Africa.
John is also one of auctioneer's at the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. These multi-million dollar auctions are held four times in year in Scottsdale, AZ, West Palm Beach, FL, Las Vegas, NV, and Newport Beach, CA.
John is active at Spotswood Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, VA, and serves on the Boards of National Auctioneers Association (NAA), Virginia Community Bank, the World Automobile Auctioneers Professional Association, the Joe Gibbs Youth for Tomorrow Foundation, and Fredericksburg Christian School. John also served two terms on the Economic Development Authority (EDA) of Spotsylvania County.

Founder and Chairman of the Board
Charles Nicholls is the founder and chairman of the board of Nicholls Auction Marketing Group. He, along with his wife Jean, founded the company in 1968 and together they have devoted their professional lives to building a successful business. Charles graduated from the Reisch Auctioneering School (now World Wide College of Auctioneering) in Mason City, IA, in 1968. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association and the Virginia Auctioneers Association where he has served on the Board of Directors and numerous committees.
For the past 30 years, Charles Nicholls has been head auctioneer at the two largest auto auctions in the state of Virginia. He is a licensed realtor and a certified appraiser by C.A.G.A.. Charles is a trustee and active member of Spotswood Baptist Church, and he is very active in the Fredericksburg community serving many non-profit organizations for 40+ years. He was awarded the Bernie Hart Memorial Award by the National Automobile Auction Association in October 2004 in Nashville, TN. This award recognizes a lifetime of superior achievement, leadership, and overall professionalism in the industry. In 2006, Charles was honored by being named to the Virginia Auctioneer's Hall of Fame. Charles, a gifted teacher and mentor to many, is a true legend in the world of auctioneering.

J.T. CLARK
J.T. Clark has been with Nicholls Auction Marketing Group since 1987, and oversees day to day operations in the Richmond, VA, area. J.T. is the Regional Head Auctioneer for a nationally recognized Fortune 500 Company in charge of thirteen (13) weekly and biweekly auctions in six (6) different states. He is a 1986 graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC, and in 1988-89, he was awarded the coveted titled of Virginia State Champion Auctioneer.
J.T. is a graduate of Mosley Flint Real Estate School, a Past President of the Virginia Auctioneers Association (2008), the 2004 recipient of the VAA Auctioneer of the Year award, and a member of the National Auctioneers Association.

SHIELDS JONES
Director of Marketing
Shields Jones, a graduate of Virginia Tech, joined Nicholls Auction Marketing Group in 1984, after being raised as a second generation auctioneer in the business. Shields is an active member of the Virginia Auctioneers Association, and is currently serving as President.
After a stellar career with the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C., Shields currently serves as the Director of Marketing for NAMG, and works closely with the day to day operations of the company. Shields possesses an expertise in all forms of Internet and world wide web marketing, print media, public relations, visual and audio media, and various other advertising outlets. He also came to Nicholls with an expertise in antiques and glassware and also works closely with Nicholls' estate auction division. Shields also has a passion for the State 4H programs, and serves several chapters throughout Virginia.

KELLY STRAUSS
Kelly Strauss is the Northern Neck representative for Nicholls Auction Marketing Group, and the firm's Auction Coordinator. He joined the company in 1998, after graduating from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, IA. He served a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Auctioneer's Association, and is an active member of the National Auctioneers Association. In 2000, Kelly was awarded with the title Virginia Rookie Auctioneer of the Year. He was also awarded the 2009/10 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer.
In his 25 year sales career, Kelly has attended various sales schools from Birmingham, AL to Dublin, OH. He is active in his church and community serving on the Board of Directors at the King George County YMCA, a past member of the King George County Planning Commission, the King George Chamber of Commerce and was Den Leader for the Cub Scouts.
Kelly also holds certification in bi-lingual auctioneering (Spanish) from the World Wide College of Auctioneering. DAVID CLARK
David Clark graduated in 1989 from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, NC, and soon thereafter developed a relationship with Nicholls Auction Marketing Group.
David is a subcontract auctioneer working four (4), or more, auctions weekly for several large companies including two major US corporations. He works in the Richmond area in real estate and equipment auctions, and he is an active member in the Virginia Auctioneers Association.

CRAIG DAMEWOOD
Craig Damewood, a life-long resident of Loudoun County, VA, is a 1978 graduate of Reppert's School of Auctioneering in Auburn, IN. In addition to real estate expertise, Craig has an astute 30 year auction knowledge of antiques, farm and heavy equipment, and estate liquidations. Craig conducts 250+ auctions per year for Fortune 500 companies in Virginia and large corporations in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Craig is an active member in the National Auctioneers Association and the Virginia Auctioneers Association where he served as 2004 President , 2005 Chairman of the Board, and numerous committee assignments. Some of Craig's many accomplishments include: 1999 Virginia State Champion Auctioneer, 2003 Virginia Auctioneer of the Year, and 2012 Inductee into the Virginia Auctioneer's Association Hall of Fame.

DAVID MAST
David Mast is a graduate of Nashville Auction School in Nashville, TN, and has been with Nicholls Auction Marketing Group since 2006. David has extensive expertise in machinery, equipment, livestock, and real estate auctions. Before joining Nicholls, David was involved with several prominent agricultural auction firms along the East Coast, and he was a successful business owner for 20+ years. David is a licensed Realtor, and is an active member in the Virginia Auctioneers Association.
HUNTER RAINES
Hunter Raines is a 2004 graduate of Nashville Auction School in Nashville, TN. A dynamic young man, Hunter is an active member of the Virginia Auctioneer Association and the National Auctioneer Association. Hunter has earned the following designations: Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) with completed course work in Antiques, Collectibles, Construction Equipment, and Agricultural Equipment; Certified Estate Specialist (CES); and Graduate of Moseley-Flint School of Real Estate.
Hunter conducts several hundred auctions each year for large corporations in Virginia and Maryland. In 2005, Hunter was honored by being named the Virginia Rookie Auctioneer of the Year.

TONY WILSON
Grover A. "Tony" Wilson is a life-long resident of Orange County Virginia. Tony is an established successful business person in the region and has been for over 21 years. In the spring of 2008, Tony was named "Business Person of the Year" by the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. Tony has an extensive background in marketing, management and sales, including completion of the "Management Success" Training School in Glendale, California. Tony is very active in "community service" related activities, including being a member of the local fire department for twenty four years of which the last five he has served as President.
Tony is a graduate of the Pleasants School of Auctioneering. Tony is a member of the Virginia Auctioneer's Association and currently serves on the Legislative Committee. He also is a member of the National Auctioneer's Association.

MARLYNN TURNER
Marlynn Turner graduated in 2008 from both the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in Highpoint, North Carolina, and the Professional Ringmen's Institute in Rogersville, Missouri.
Marlynn has over 25 years experience in the antiques and thrift business including shows, estate sales, and owning her own store. Marlynn is an active member of Fork Church Episcopal in Hanover County. She is a ringman/ bid assistant for charity, benefit and real estate auctions throughout Virginia, and is a member of the Virginia Auctioneer's Association.

BILL HARLOWE
Bill Harlowe brings a storied auction career to the NAMG team. Bill has been a powerful force in the auction community in the Charlottesville and Central Virginia area for over 40 years. Bill was the founder and CEO of the highly respected and successful Harlow-Powell Auction Ltd. Bill is a 1968 graduate of the Reisch School of Auctioneering (now World Wide College of Auctioneering), the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute, and the Weaver Real Estate School. An active member of the Virginia Auctioneers Association, Bill has served as President, Board of Directors member, featured seminar instructor, and was honored by being enshrined into the Virginia Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame.
Bill currently conducts several auctions each week, and is an active member of the Blue Ridge Mountain Rotary Club having served as President and Board member. CHUCK HARLOWE
Chuck Harlowe is a second generation auction professional who also is a certified residential real estate appraiser. Chuck graduated from Mendenhall Auction School in 1988, and received his Bachelor's Degree from Randoph Macon College in 1992. Chuck served on the Economic Development Commission for Fluvanna County from 1998-2003, and also served our country in the United States Naval Reserves. Born and raised in the Charlottesville/Fluvanna County area, Chuck brings a wealth of real estate knowledge to the NAMG team. Chuck is a member of Calvary Chapel in Fluvanna, and enjoys coaching Upwards Basketball. Chuck and his lovely wife, Melanie reside in Fluvanna County with their two children, Anthony and Annabelle.
ANNE AND JIMMY GRINDSTAFF
Jimmy Grindstaff is founder and President of Grindstaff Auction and Realty Inc. A second generation of auctioneer, he is dedicated to the auction industry. Jimmy has been in the auction industry for over 40 years. Jimmy has an impressive auction knowledge of antiques, farm & business equipment, estate liquidations, and real estate. Jimmy specializes with On-Site auctions with an emphasis on antiques, real estate and liquidations. Jimmy is an active member is his church and volunteers for numerous groups and organizations. He is an active member of National Auctioneer Association and Virginia Auctioneers Association.

JARROD HINES
Jarrod Hines is a 5th generation auctioneer and the founder and owner of Old Dominion Auction Co., LLC. Jarrod graduated as class president from the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, and is an active member of the Virginia Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association. Jarrod is licensed and bonded in Virginia and North Carolina, and is currently pursuing the esteemed designation of CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) at Indiana University.
DAN HINES
Dan Hines is a veteran auctioneer with over 40 years of experience, and is the founder and co-owner of Colonial Auction Company. Dan is licensed in Virginia and West Virginia where he served a three year term on the West Virginia Auctioneers Association's Board of Directors. Dan was also very instrumental in organizing and passing the West Virginia auctioneer licensing laws. Dan is very active in the Jaycees organization where he has been a chapter founder, and has been honored as the recipient of the highest awards given in the Jaycees. In addition to his many accomplishments, Dan is also a State Champion Auctioneer and has been awarded several first place marketing awards.
SID SMYTH
Sid Smyth is a lifelong resident of South Central Virginia living in Lunenburg County. He has been a full time real estate Broker since 1999. In 2008, Sid received his Master’s Degree in business from Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in real estate valuation, finance and development. Sid graduated from the East Coast School of Auctioneering in 2003, and he is currently enrolled in the Certified Auctioneers Institute.
Sid has served on various Boards over the years including 15 years on the Lunenburg County Board of Supervisors, member of the regional planning district board, and currently is a member of the Crossroads Community Service Board. Sid is active with the Boy Scouts and is a Vestryman for St. Paul’s and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
